Water Treatment Systems
Getting the most out of your bore or dam water
Always remember, ground water is NOT always safe. Even if it looks clear and tastes good – there may be things you can’t see and taste, like metals, low pH and bacteria.
It can be difficult to determine whether you actually need a water treatment system or what type of system would be best for you. Although the choice to use a water treatment system is up to each individual, Aldgate Pump Sales & Service can certainly help with your product selection process.
Laboratory Water Analysis
Aldgate Pump Sales & Service can provide you with a laboratory water analysis that will let us know the quality of your water. From our detailed water analysis we can recommend a an effective, environmentally friendly water treatment system that provides clean, safe and usable to get the most out of your water, whether it’s for stock, domestic household use or simply for irrigation.

Softener systems - Waterways
"Hard water" is water that contains excessive amounts
of minerals such as calcium and magnesium. The effect of hard water is that is
difficult to lather and rinse and will commonly cause scale formations that are
likely to result in damage to plumbing fixtures and fittings. Soft water
lathers and rinses more freely. Laundry will be soft and fluffy, skin and hair
feel cleaner and there is reduced potential more soap scum to build up on
shower screens, bathroom tiles and fittings.

Applications
- Capacity 10,000 litres at 100ppm hardness
- Continuous 30 Litres per minute
- 20mm BSP connections
- Automatic system
SEV8 Auto Softener

Applications
- Capacity 17,000 litres at 100ppm hardness
- Continuous 35 litres per minute

- Flow Rate Continuous 25 litres per minute
- Pressure Maximum 600
STT17 Manual Softener
Calcite pH correction systems - Waterways
Waterways pH correction filters increase pH by the action of water running over
calcite. Calcite is a rock like substance that exhibits an alkaline
pH. As low pH water (acidic) passes through the calcite bed, it (calcite)
slowly dissolves adding pH to the water being treated. Calcite pH correction
systems do not require backwashing, but from time to time the calcite needs to
be topped up.

Applications
- Media Tank 9” (23cm) x 48” (102cm)
- Media 40kg of calcite
- Flow Rate Continuous 20 litres per minute
- Pipe Sizes Inlet/outlet 3/4” (20mm)
CF1 Calcite Filter

Applications
- Media Tank 13” (33cm) x 54” (137cm)
- Media 80kg of calcite
- Flow Rate Continuous 30 litres per minute
- Pipe Sizes Inlet/outlet 3/4” (20mm)
CF2 Calcite Filter

Applications
- Media tank 16” (41cm) x 65” (165cm)
- Flow Rate Continuous 40 litres per minute
- Pressure Maximum 600 kpa (85 psi)
CF3 Calcite Filter

Applications
- Media Tank 13” (33cm) x 54” (137cm)

Sediment Filters - Waterways
Mixed bed filters are used for sedimentremoval over a wide range of flow rates. Due to a muchlarger surface area and the ability to be backwashed the dirtholding/handling capability of a mixed bed filter is far superiorto cartridges. The beds can be made up of different filteringsands and filtration media.

Applications
- Media 53kg of mixed mediaSand, anthracite and gravels
- Control Valve Fleck 5000 electronic valve, full adjustable function.
- 35 litres per minute
SA2 Auto Mixed Bed

Applications
- Media 125kg of mixed mediaSand, anthracite and gravels

- 50 Litres per minute
SM3 Manual Mixed Bed
Carbon Filters - Waterways
Carbon filters are use for waterclarification (colour removal), bacterial capture/retention,chlorine removal and odour/taste removal. Carbon must bebackwashed regularly to reduce the risk of bio-fouling occurring.Carbon filters don’t cope well with sediment loads, it’s thereforecommon to have a mixed bed filter installed prior to handle this.

Applications
- Media Tank 13” (33cm) x 54” (137cm)
- Media 28kg of carbon
- Fleck 5000 electronic valve, fast and rapidrinse, full adjustable function,
